Hi, all- just got back from AGPLA. I'm exhausted and I'll post more (pictures, reviews, etc.) over the next couple days.
But I wanted you all to know that they told me that AG is retiring Molly's Party Games. It was on my list of things I wanted to buy at the store but it wasn't featured in Molly's display and wasn't out on the floor. I asked about it and they said it was being discontinued and so AGPLA didn't stock it. They said since they offered Molly's new roller skates they decided to retire the old set.
So if you want it, I'd order it while it's still around on the website.

That's interesting. Thanks! I guess I kind of figured that they wouldn't want two pairs of rollerskates in their product line... but it's a little sad, too because it was really cool having the other party games. My mom used to tell me stories about playing games like those. Although, I guess that glass bottle probably didn't fare so well with a lot of kids. Well, I'm glad I got this set several years ago. I do wish they'd stop retiring products. I miss when they had the classic sets and were more reliable that they wouldn't keep changing their product lines. You had the option of buying the "Starter Collection," "Complete Collection," or "Sweet Dreams Collection," too. Oh, well. At least they still have the rollerskates, since they are such a big part of her birthday story with playing "princesses" with Emily.

I'm glad DD already has them. After the orders I've placed in the last 2 days I can't place another one this month! It really is a cute set.

I am not surprised either, because of the rollerskates. I do find it disappointing. The Party Games set has always been my favorite accessory set for Molly. However, at least Molly will still have rollerskates, which I think is the coolest part of that set.
Retirements are upsetting and very frustrating to those trying to complete a collection. On the positive side, think of all the new Molly goodies we can look forward to later on the year. Maybe AG will surprise us with some similar sets.

can you buy just the red skates as a replacement part? I want the red skates for when I get Molly and Emily . . . .

I was convinced AG was going to retire this set, so got an extra. What bothers me about this is that there's so much historical value to that set. To replace it with just a new pair of roller skates is a real shame, so I hope there will be something more when Emily arrives.

Eeek, thanks for the warning.
Maybe AG will release another variety of the game thing when Molly's big movie comes out in the fall?? I know AG has been retiring detailed sets like that for a while now, but maybe Molly will get a replacement with her film.

I would advise everyone to get the Molly accessories that you like now. It sounds like when they changed Felicity's chocolate set to the new tea set, changed Felicity's meet accessories, and changed her party treats, etc. It looks like Molly's collection is going to be revised.
